Riding bikes over to the friends to play Sega games.
I was riding bikes with soda cans shoved in the tire to make them sound like dirtbikes, wearing my middle school uniforms outside, getting dirty, playing Brain Warp and Crossfire with friends.
The 2006 Yes! Era is completely different from the CN City era.īorn in the 80s. The Yes! also killed off Cartoon Fridays and instead had Fried Dynamite. This era is the one that has Squirrel Boy premiere and also was the one that pushed all of the original Cartoon Cartoons into the 4am slots and started to push out My Gym Partners a Monkey into the spotlight. Summer of 2006 is what I consider the true beginning of the decay because of the garbage Yes! Era. Teen Titans, Billy and Mandy, and Kids Next Door were most famous in this era even though they came out towards the end of the Powerhouse. Even though the cartoons from this era weren't as epic as the ones from the Powerhouse, however shows such as Fosters Home, Ben 10, Camp Lazlo, and Hi Hi Puffi Yumi were interesting and much better than Cow and Chicken, I am Weasel, Mike Lu, and Og, 2 Stupid Dogs, and Robot Jones. This era had the beautiful CN City bumpers and was also the last era to respect the Powerhouse cartoons by airing them (Johnny Bravo, Courage, etc). I know that there are some people who say that Cartoon Network died in 2004, but many of us defend 2004-spring 2006 because of the CN City era. Viva el Rock & Eddy! Draven Nevermore Just curious, is the lol in agreement? Remembering from my personal memories as well as talking to many of my friends, many of us view the Golden Age of Cartoon Network from 1998-2005/spring 2006 during both of the Powerhouse and CN City eras.
